I been caught slippin’
Bout a thousands times before,
I feel like I’m trippin’
Been doubtin’ whats in store
Well well well, Its a doggone shame,
Well well well, Its a long gone flame,
Well well well, got no one to Blame.
Oh but life goes on, ..
All these things will come to pass
Just like the dawn,
It comes and goes so fast,
So sing your songs,
Sing em good and make em last.
This life I been livin’,
Cleaner than the one before,
Guess I ain’t been forgivin,’
Each day leaves me sore,
Well well well, Its a doggone shame,
Well well well, Its a long gone flame,
Well well well, got no one to Blame.
Oh but life goes on, ..
All these things will come to pass
Just like the dawn,
It comes and goes so fast,
So sing your songs,
Sing em good and make em last.
.
Imone be hidin’,
Behind the basement door.
Might go out ridin’
Find the key to the ancient lore,
Well well well, Its a doggone shame,
Well well well, Its a long gone flame,
Well well well, got no one to Blame.

Well, I don’t know which way it’s gonna blow,
This evenin’s goin’ to slow.
Think I'm gon' call up, that little lady
Maybe this time she'll say maybe
Up in Waynesboro, Up in Waynesboro,
It’s where she live.
Heading west on 64 on a sunday
Tryna find some love, not just some one night stand
Ain't quarantinin' I don't care what the news say
Got the good lord above me, I know he wouldn't ruin my plans.
Saw her the other day in Walmart parking lot
We sat and chilled and smoked a little pot
Things was lookin up, I thought found the rainbow
But pretty soon the shit winds began to blow
Up in Waynesboro, Up in Waynesboro,
It’s where I been.
Baby Girl, we livin’ in tough times,
Had to make a couple couple crimes,
Up in Waynesboro, Up in Waynesboro,
That’s where I did em;.
Baby girl, ya know I been wantin’ to do some stuff with you but you don’t like me, you don’t trust me, you don’t probably even wanna know my name.
Baby girl, you’ve got me caught out in the rain.
I was mellow on an evening
When I caught a new strange feelin’
Tickle way down back in my throat lord
Hoping it ain't that rón'
Up in Waynesboro, Up in Waynesboro,
It’s where I got sick.
Heading east on 64 on a sunday
Tryna find some love, not just some one night stand(one night stand) Ain't quarantinin' I don't care what they say
Got the good lord above me, I know he wouldn't ruin my plans.

Im leavin’ here tomorrow, but please don’t say goodbye, for I’ll be back some day
I’m headin for the frontier, gonna see what I can find, heard they struck some gold up north a ways
Gonna be diggin’ and siftin’
Haulin’ and liftin’
Livin in the woods, tryin’ to find that gold
And once I find that nugget
Gonna get down off this summit
Ride that train, honey right on back to you
Well we tried to make it farmin’, but the dust took that away, lord I had to find another way to live
Then I ran into a friend who said that I could make it rich, minin’ gold in a land that don’t forgive
Gonna be diggin’ and siftin’
Haulin’ and liftin’
Livin in the woods, tryin’ to find that gold
And once I find that nugget
Gonna get down off this summit
Ride that train, honey right on back to you
Men and women from miles around, come to this tiny boom town, try their hand at strikin’ it rich
Some gamble everything they find, from workin’ way down the mine, they just had to scratch that itch
They might never make a dime
But they keep diggin anyway
They know they’re probably wastin’ time, down in that mine diggin’ clay
We’re all just tryna make it pay
Now this livin’ in a pirate tent, is gettin kinda old, I wish that I could be back home with you
But there’s no use in comin back if I can’t find no gold, so I guess I’ll just keep tryna pay my dues
Gonna be diggin’ and siftin’
Haulin’ and liftin’
Livin in the woods, tryin’ to find that gold
And once I find that nugget
Gonna get down off this summit
Ride that train, honey right on back to you.
